Il pezzo segue il successo di “Hymn For The Weekend“, doppio platino in Italia e 17ma Top10 della band in UK e la premiatissima “Adventure Of A Lifetime“.
Up&Up, però, non è un brano come tutti gli altri, visto che vanta la presenza di molti ospiti noti. In primo piano c’è Beyoncé e la celebre cantante di “Gimme Shelter” Merry Clayton. Alla chitarra, invece, c’è Noel Gallagher.
Il videoclip che in meno di un giorno ha già racimolato 3.5 milioni di visualizzazioni è davvero spettacolare, grazie alla preziosa collaborazione della band con i registi israeliani Vania Heymann e Gal Muggia. Nei frame si parla di temi importanti attraverso metafore, dal problema dei migranti ai temi ambientali. Una serie di immagini con un profondo significato, non ultimo il tema del riscaldamento globale.
